NW Federation trip to Southwest Wyoming to hunt for Blue Forest Petrified wood.

June 5th-7th, 2026

Annual Maiden Canyon trip to search for Montana Diamonds, Chinese writing rocks, and fossils.

The Maiden turnoff is about 10 miles Northeast of Lewistown on Highway 191. We will have maps at the next meeting if you need more info. You can also contact Dave Hodges at 788-8044 if you have questions.

Trip to Zortman, MT to dredge and pan for gold. We have reserved spaces in Zortman to camp.

There is also access to fossils and crinoids.  We will have access to a 4" dredge and a highbanker to use and we have an member with the skills and knowledge to help us.  If you have questions, contact Dave 788-8044

We will meet at Big Sky Deli in Vaughn, MT at 9am and carpool to Lincoln.
